What CCD does

Current services span web design, branding, technical visualization, design coordination, and applied technology.

  1. Website Design & Development

Custom websites designed around the organization, its audience, and what it needs to communicate. Built and deployed, not handed over as a mockup.

    • Custom Sites & Redesigns
    • Information Architecture
    • Performance & Deployment
  2. Website Maintenance & Support

Ongoing care for a site after launch: content updates, fixes, and steady improvement, handled directly rather than through a queue.

    • Content Updates
    • Troubleshooting
    • Site Improvements
  3. Branding & Visual Identity

Marks, color, and type built into a system, so the identity holds together across a website, a document, and everything after it.

    • Logo & Identity
    • Color & Typography
    • Digital Brand Assets
  4. Technical Visualization & Design Coordination

Turning drawings, specifications, and technical documentation into accurate 3D models and visualizations, to show what is proposed or to find what does not fit before it is built.

    • 3D Modeling
    • Design Coordination
    • Clash Identification
  5. AI & Technical Consulting

Selected technical consulting informed by graduate work in artificial intelligence and computer science: feasibility assessment, workflow evaluation, and small proofs of concept that answer a question with evidence.

    • Feasibility Assessment
    • Workflow Evaluation
    • Prototypes & Applied AI

Recent websites and identities

Two recent projects for very different organizations and audiences.

The Kind Cooking homepage. A drawn cat in a chef's hat holding a wooden spoon sits beside the headline 'Empowering the Community to Cook Healthy on a SNAP Budget', with red Donate and green Volunteer buttons below it.

Nonprofit website and brand identity

Kind Cooking

Kind Cooking is a North Texas 501(c)(3) that runs hands-on cooking classes and supplies groceries and kitchen equipment to the people who take them. CCD designed and built the site and created the identity it is built on: a drawn cat-chef mark, a warm off-white ground, and a short list of high-contrast action colors that keep donating, volunteering, and reading about the programs visually distinct.

The same homepage on a phone: the chef-cat mark sits above the headline, and the navigation has collapsed to a menu button.
The 'What We Do' section of the site, pairing a photograph of a chef in a teaching kitchen with a short description of the Cooking Education program.
The Texas Business Litigation homepage: a deep navy hero announcing the 2026 Annual Meeting, with a gold call-to-action button, a circular star seal in the header, and photographs from a previous meeting below.
The same section’s website before the redesign: a narrow centered page with a serif navigation bar, small blue body text running the full width, a row of four flat colored circles labeled Journal, Events, Links and Jury Charges, a clip-art monopoly diagram, and a strip of thumbnail images at the bottom.

CCD redesign

Professional association website redesign and logo redesign

Texas Business Litigation

The Antitrust & Business Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas publishes court reporting, CLE course materials, a journal, webinars, and an annual meeting. CCD redesigned the site, redrew the logo, and reorganized that material into a structure a member can navigate directly. The result is deliberately unlike Kind Cooking: a navy and gold palette, a typographic hierarchy built on a serif, and long reference pages that have to stay readable.

Drawings become models. Models reveal problems.

One of CCD’s original areas of practice. Technical documentation is translated into accurate 3D models for visualization, coordination, and conflict identification before construction.

Multi-discipline design coordination

Construction Drawings to Coordinated Model

A client supplied construction and trade drawings for a residence and commissioned CCD to build a coordinated 3D model. Modeling the documents together exposed conflicts that were difficult to see when each discipline was reviewed separately.

Among them, several custom openings did not clear the structural framing. Identifying those conflicts in the model before fabrication or construction demonstrated the value of coordinated 3D review.

Water-feature design visualization

Manske Public Library Water Feature

CCD was commissioned to create visualizations for water-feature designs at Manske Public Library in Farmers Branch, Texas. After visiting the site and taking field measurements, CCD modeled the existing building and grounds to scale. Using supplied design drawings, CCD then modeled and rendered the water-feature configurations so the alternatives could be reviewed and compared from consistent viewpoints.

One practice, several disciplines

Caldwell Consulting & Design is a small multidisciplinary practice working across websites, brand identity, technical visualization, and applied technology. The outputs differ; the underlying job does not. Each of them is about making something complicated legible to the people who have to act on it.

CCD’s capabilities continue to evolve, but the focus remains constant: working at the intersection of technology, art, and design.

Select technical consulting

CCD takes on selected technical consulting involving feasibility assessment, workflow evaluation, automation, machine learning, and small proofs of concept. The work is informed by graduate study in artificial intelligence and ongoing doctoral research in computer science.
